COERR Organized “Hygiene Care for Hands and Teeth for Children and Youth” in Temporary Shelters

   During February-March 2020, COERR Mae Hong Son, COERR Mae Sarieng, COERR Mae Sot and COERR Kanchanaburi organized “Hygiene Care for Hands and Teeth for Children” Activities with an aim to help children to take proper care of their hygiene, starting from 7 steps of hand washing to keep their hands clean in an effort to prevent the transmission of coronavirus disease through food and close contact.

   The activities were organized in COERR’s Child Friendly Spaces in all 9 Temporary Shelters, as to raise children’s awareness of good health and hygiene which should enable them to live as normal and continue to go to school without being interrupted; and that their physical and intellectual development should go on in the good and healthy environment free from disease hazard.

   COERR Mae Hong Son organized the Hygiene Care Program for hands and teeth in Ban Mai Nai Soi Shelter, Mae Hong Son Province’s Muang District, on March 26th, 27th, and 30th for 7, 15, and 16 children. Another Program was organized in Ban Mae Surin Shelter in Khun Yuam District on March 21st, for 32 children.

   COERR Mae Sarieng organized the Hygiene Care Program for Children during January – March 2020. In January, the program was organized on 6th, 13th, and 20th, for 80 children in Ban Mae La Oon, and 61 children in Ban Mae Lama Luang in Sob Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province. In Ferbruary, the program was organized on 3rd, 10th and 17th for 72 children in Ban Mae La Oon and 78 children in Ban Mae Lama Luang. Then in March, the activity on 2nd, 9th and 16th had 64 children at Ban Mae La Oon and 65 children at Ban Mae Lama Luang.

   COERR Mae Sot organized “Teaching Hygiene care for small children” in Ban Mae La, Tak Province, during February 24-28, 2020, in which there were 120 participants of 69 females and 51 males.

   Later, a “Teaching Hygiene care for small children at Mae La” during March 24-27, 2020 had 109 children of 69 females and 40 males attend.

   At Ban Umpiem in Pop Pra District, Tak Province, a “Tooth Brushing Techniques for Oral Hygiene” was organized on March 11th, in which 34 children of 16 girls and 18 boys enjoyed their lesson.

   “Teeth and Gum Care Activity” was organized at Ban Nupo in Umphang District, Tak Province on February 14, 2020 for 49 participants of 32 girls and 17 boys.

   On March 19th, “Hygiene Hands and Teeth for Children” was organized in Ban Nupo’ s in which 33 children of 19 girls and 14 boys attended.

   COERR Kanchanaburi organized “Hand washing and teeth brushing” at Ban Don Yang, Kanchanaburi Province on February 8, 2020, for 56 children of 25 males and 31 females; and on March 7th and 14th, for 243 children consisting of 136 boys and 107 girls.

   At Ban Tham Hin in Ratchaburi Province, Hygiene Hand Washing was organized on March 5, 2020 for 40 children consisting of 18 girls and 22 boys.
